Do Google Nest cameras work in different countries?

We bought a set of Google Nest indoor/outdoor battery powered cameras and a Google Nest Hub in Canada. Unfortunately we had to move back to the UK and now the cameras don't seem to work. Is there a way to get them functioning again?

Did you try creating a new "Home" and unlinking them from the previous one to re-register them?

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear your Nest Cameras (battery) are not working after your move to the UK. I'm happy to assist you.

Since your cameras have support in the UK, and you mentioned setting them up previously in Canada, I recommend that you follow the steps below to add your cameras back to the Google Home app:

  1. Remove your cameras in the Google Home app. For instructions, visit: Organise your homes and devices in the Google Home app.
  2. Create a new home for your new location. For instructions, visit: Organise your homes and devices in the Google Home app.
  3. Factory reset your cameras as indicated in the article "Restart or factory reset Nest camera or doorbell."
  4. Connect your cameras to the Google Home app:
    • Open the Google Home app.
    • Tap Devices > Add > Google Nest or partner device.
    • Choose the new home you created.
    • The app looks for nearby devices. When prompted, select the camera model that you have as the device that you want to set up.
    • Use your phone’s camera to scan your camera’s QR code. You can also tap Continue without scanning and enter the setup code.
      Tip: If you don’t know where the setup code is, tap Find the code for help.
    • The app walks you through setup and installation.
