Don't get notifications from Nest doorbell (battery) on Apple Watch

Hi,

I just bought a Nest doorbell (battery) and a Nest Mini as a chime. Setup was easy and everything works fine, except that Google Home app does not notify me of someone being at my door on my Apple Watch. The notification on my iPhone works but is easy to miss.

From reading through several threads I learnt that the Nest app did notify on Apple Watch, but unfortunately it's not compatible with the my doorbell. 

Is there anything that I'm missing or did someone find a workaround?

On your iPhone, under Notifications, under "Mirror iPhone alerts from", do you have "Google Home" turned on? Notifications from our Google Nest Camera (Battery) work on my Apple Watch, though sometimes the image is grayed out. I don't know if there are issues with this feature with the Google Nest Doorbell (Battery).
