Hello,
I would like for the chime to still be heard on all my other hubs in the house, however, I would like to turn off the 'Someone is at the front door' sound that comes through. It feels a little redundant with already receiving the doorbell chime.
I've tried turning off visitor announcements but that also turns off the chime. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Google Nest does not give us any way to turn off the "Someone is at the front door" announcement that comes with the chime for "Visitor announcements".

The request to turn of the redundant “someone is at the….” Verbal message that comes after the ding -dong has been around for years. Why doesn’t google fix this annoying redundancy, with a software update to Google home app that give the option for “chime only” “chime plus message” or “message only”. If ruins an otherwise fine product

Agreed it would be nice to have more options for this!

Hey everyone,
Thanks for the feedback on this. I'm going to submit your comments in the form of a feature request to our internal teams. You can also send your feedback in by using the Home app's feedback function. Aside from submitting that, is there anything else I can do for you here?
Thanks,
Jeff

Thanks for passing on request to turn off the verbal message. Could you also share with the team that it’s unfortunate that the Nest battery is not compatible with all WiFi door chimes, since not everyone wants a Google mini speaker (to act only as an expensive chime). The lack of transparency about the chime limitations in the product descriptions is also inexcusable!
