Doorbell and nest mini not connecting

My battery powered google doorbell camera will not ring through to my google nest mini.   I did it once but can’t get it to work again.  Helppppp.  Thank you

Turn on the "Visitor announcements" option (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7672451) on your doorbell.
