Doorbell battery battery drains

Randomalerts

Hello Everyone,

I have a doorbell battery edition. I have wired it and it is getting 24 Volts of power but it seems to keep dying and not getting enough power to charge.

Any recommendations to ensure it gets power. It doesn't have the plugged in logo in the battery setting.

Hi @Randomalerts!

Thanks for posting in the community.
I’m sorry for the inconvenience that you’ve been experiencing with your Nest Doorbell (Battery). I understand that your Nest Doorbell (Battery) is connected via wire terminals, but in the app it is not showing the plugged-in state, and also the battery level is still draining. Let me help you in this.

To better assist you, I need some extra information. Here are some questions for you:

  • Did you notice or experience any power outages recently?
  • What is the temperature where you are located?
  • During the setup, you selected the wire terminals option when it was asking to select between wire terminals and battery to power the device?
  • Have you tried factory resetting the device?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

I'll be waiting for your response.

Regards,

Daniel.
