Doorbell indoor chime will not sound,

Nest wired, mechanical doorbell. Inside chime does not work. Followed all steps, rechecked settings and connections. Chimes outside, chimes on our phones and iPad, camera works, audio works, INSIDE Chime still not working. What needs to de done to get the inside chime working?

A few customers--including us--have reported in this forum that if they go to Settings for their Google Nest Hello Doorbell in the Google Nest app and select "Chime duration" and turn on the option for "Do you have an electronic chime?" and then turn it back off, that this jogs something in the Nest Hello Doorbell that gets their mechanical chime working. It seems odd, but I've even seen Google Nest Support staff suggest this in this forum.  It worked for our side door (at least until the internal battery in the Nest Hello died after 20 months and we had to turn of the "Indoor Chime" and rely on our Nest Hubs and phone notifications).
