I took my Nest Doorbell Battery off to charge it, but the small black button on the back that stops the doorbell from being removed without using the tool is now stuck in the "pushed in" position meaning that it can't be re-mounted properly and is not secured on the mount. I've currently got it propped up there but it isn't safe and can be taken. I've tried a few things but can't get the button to come out again. There are a couple of similar threads so this may be a common design issue? Has anyone had the same and managed to free it?

+1 I have the same issue with my Doorbell Battery. Interested if someone has a solution.

I've seen several posts with the same problem with the mounting mechanism. A few customers have tried carefully applying a little WD-40 to the button in an attempt to lubricate it, taking care not to get it inside the camera.
If that does not work, you could try contacting Support about a replacement, using the link and instructions in this post:

I've now spoken to Google Support and they are replacing my doorbell camera under warranty.
