Hello everyone, I just setup my Google doorbell (Battery) and it's great so far. Getting notifications like normal on both phone and Google devices throughout the house.
My question:
I noticed when someone presses the doorbell, the notification rings on every single speaker connected. I really only want the notification to go to my Google hub, because that is where I can view the video from and quickly respond. Right now it does go through the hub, but also broadcasts to every speaker and there seems to be a lot of delay. I also work from home so do not want the notification inside certain rooms, and we have a speaker outdoors so do not want to bother the neighbors.
Please let me know if that makes sense, and if you have insight it would be appreciated!

Hi Cgilly1, I'm and end user. If you search on this user forum you will see a lot of people have been asking for this for over 8 months. So far Google has not provided a way to do this. One thing you can do is go into the app and select your doorbell and hit the SETTINGS gear icon and you should see a FEEDBACK option. This is the best place to send your request in so that the google developers see it. They do not actually participate much in this user forum. Another popular request is to get alerts on the HUB when someone walks by and doesn't actually push the button. Right now you can only do that on your phone or tablet.

Any solution to this yet? I was about to get a Nest Doorbell but this is a major flaw.

Hi John24,
Thanks for reaching out. If you have multiple speakers, you can create another home structure and set up your Nest Mini devices separately from the Nest Hub and Nest Doorbell (battery). In doing so, every time someone rings your doorbell only your Nest Hub will activate its visitor announcement.
I hope that answers your question.
Thanks,
JT

I actually thought about that but that defeats being on the Google ecosystem. In example, being able to see who is at the door with my phone since it’s logged into a different account. So no, not an acceptable solution.
