Doorbell won't attach to bracket

Received a Google Nest doorbell for Christmas and had tech installers come to install.  They could not get the doorbell to snap onto the bracket.  They tried for over an hour (2 technicians) to snap it into place but it would not snap.  They tried removing the plate, loosening the screws but it won't stay. Any ideas?  I had them reinstall my old doorbell and pack the Nest back in the box.  Frustrating!

Thanks for posting here in the community. I know you've been through a lot with this issue. Let's go ahead and see what we can do here. To confirm, do you have the wired or battery type of Nest Doorbell? If possible, could you share with us the photo of your Nest Doorbell with the mounting plate.
