Doorbell won’t connect to device

My husbands phone just did the lasted iOS update and it deleted the doorbell from the Google Home App.  We are having issues getting the device added to his app again.  It still appears on my Google home app after the update but for some reason his got deleted.  I’ve tried turning everything on and off again, deleting the app and reinstalling it but nothing is working. Can someone please help.  We would really like the get notifications on both our devices when we are not home.

@Sweisz30

Is your husband a member of your Google Nest "household"? (Near the top under Settings in the Google Home app, there should be an icon for him.)

Is he logging into the Google Home app with the same gmail account shown when you click on his profile icon under Settings in the Google Home app? Is he connected to the same Google Nest "home/structure" as you are?  (The name of your "home/structure" is displayed near the top of the Google Home app.)

I think I was signing in under my account on both devices.  I will add him to my profile/group and see if that fixes the problem.  Thank you.

Hello everyone,

@Sweisz30, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. How's it going? Were you able to add your husband as a home member? Is he able to see your Nest Doorbell now? Let us know your update here.

I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.

Regards,

Emerson

Hi,

yes, I was able to add him under my “home”.  Do I have to have a Google Share account with him as well?

@Sweisz30

I don't know what you mean by a "Google Share account".

When you invite someone into your Google Nest "home", they have to have a gmail account, and an invitation is sent to them. When they accept the invitation, they then log into the Google Home app with their gmail account, and they should be able to access your Google Nest "home", with complete access to all Google Nest devices.
