Download video history from Home app

Hi

We have a NestCam with Floodlight set up on Google Home app.

A neighbour was broken into last night and police have requested some of the footage captured (around 40 mins all up). The footage doesn't relate to an event (events are only generated for the Zone in the field of view that relates to our property).

In the Nest App this was easy, but I cannot suss out how to download a non-event period of history for the police. I can review it on the app but thats it. Please let us know how this done?

Cheers

Unfortunately, for cameras controlled by the Google Home app, you can only download video clips from detected events in the video history. You cannot download video clips from footage with no activity.

That’s a bit rubbish. When is this going to be sorted?

I haven't seen any updates or timelines from Google on this. This is a mostly a user to user community, therefore if this is important to you, I’d encourage you to also send this feedback directly to Google. You will not receive a response, unless Google need more details from you, however the team are still reading the feedback.
