Extending Event History Beyond 3 Hrs

All of my cameras started limiting event history to 3 hours. I did some research and subscribed to Nest Aware but camera settings still do not provide a longer option.   Help center isn’t answering my question and could not find an answer in community (sorry if already there).  Maybe I just need to give it more time.

Your post says "Nest app (iOS)", so if you go to any of your cameras and go to Settings | Nest Aware, it should show "Active" Nest Aware" or "Active: Nest Aware Plus".

If you actually have 2nd gen cameras in the Google Home app, you should be able to go to any of your cameras and go to Settings | Video | Video history and see your options.

If you don't see this, one possibility is that the Nest Aware subscription is NOT in the same Google Nest "home/structure" as your cameras.  If you go to the Subscription Management page and click on your subscription, it should show the name of your Google Nest "home/structure".

Your answer helped me figure it out.  I had 2 duplicate home structures and basically had to delete them and create a new one then sign up for a new subscription and then everything fell in line.

@djphaneuf

Make sure you don't have a duplicate Nest Aware subscription left over.

You are correct.  I did have a duplicate subscription and I had to cancel it.  I think I am good now and appreciate your help as I was getting very frustrated with AI help sending me in circles.

@djphaneuf

I've never used AI help, and would be skeptical of what it could generate. How were you able to get AI help for Google Nest?
