UPDATE: Thanks for the suggestion to open a support ticket. My apologies for not realizing this is users only. I had a conversation with Google support, shared the serial number to the flood light camera in question, sent a copy of the original invoice, and sent photos of the issue. Google is replacing the camera 1 year out of warranty - all in under half an hour at 10pm on a Friday. Well done, Google!
First, I love the camera and the floodlight. I have two of them, among other Google cameras. They've worked great for two years. But if the mounts fail and cannot be fixed, the tech is absolutely worthless.
Here's my issue: The mounting plate cover and the mounting tabs on the light fixture failed, leading to the camera hanging by electrical wires. I have photos that clealry show degredation of the plastic base, though the rest of the plastic appears fine.
Camera works and lights work, but the entire fixture is not unable to be mounted. Even if I obtain a new mounting plate cover, the issue will not be fixed because the plastic tabs that secure the fixture to the mount have fallen off. Three tabs are broken in the exact same way. I believe this to be a manufacturer's defect.
My fear is that I have another floodlight ready to fall apart in the same way. This should not be a disposable consumer electronic that is replaced every two years. If these are designed to fail, that is irresponsible of Google. I'd rather that not be true. Please help!

Hello, So this is just a user forum only. Google does not read or respond to things here.
I think your best bet is to open an official support ticket with Google and speak with a tech person and see if they can help you. Here is the link to open the support ticket. Please return here and lets us know how it went...
