Fascia is peeling

Hi, I have a Nest doorbell which I have had for approximately 15 months. I’ve noticed it’s started to peel. I initially thought it was a protective layer that I had failed to remove when I installed it but closer inspection shows it’s actually the plastic weathering and flaking away. I’ve noticed that I am not the only person that has suffered this problem from the the feedback on here.
I’m fairly disappointed as I expected having spent what I consider a considerable amount of money for a doorbell that it would last a good while, certainly longer than 15 months.
In the past I have purchased a doorbell for less than £10 that has lasted over a decade so I expect more considering how much I have spent.
