Flying insects

Anyone having issues with flying insects and spider webs making your camera go off all night?

Yes, every little bug sets it off but I had 4 deer walk 10 feet away and it didn’t record? 😕

Right????? I definitely think it's a distance thing too. Closer things get priority! Lol

Thanks for reaching out to the community!! I'm sorry to hear that your Nest Camera is activating due to bugs and spider webs. Help’s here!

 

To better investigate the situation, I’d like to confirm what type of Nest Camera do you have? For now, since the camera is detecting this activity, I'd suggest creating an Activity Zone to reduce the likelihood of the camera detecting these motions. For instructions, refer to this article: Set up and use Activity Zones. 

 

I also appreciate @Pamw,  for posting about your experience with similar events. In this situation, please ensure that you have enabled the Events option through the Google Home app. For reference, see this article: Camera and doorbell alerts.

Well...since bugs don't know to stay out of the active zone.  That wouldn't do me much good. Thanks for the response.
