Gen 1 Outdoor Camera Serial Number Issue

I'm trying to add a 1st Gen Wired Outdoor camera to my Nest app. I've input the 6 digit product code, but the app does not list the serial number so I'm unable to complete the set up. 

How do I get the app to show the serial number?

Hi Sike1973,

 

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand you’re having trouble adding your Nest Outdoor Camera (1st Gen) into your Nest app after entering the 6-digit set up code. It sounds like the Nest app isn’t showing the serial number and is stuck in the process. I’m happy to help.

For better assistance, please respond to the following questions:

  • What color is the LED status light?
  • How far have you gotten in the device pairing process?
  • How far is the device from your router?
  • Can you connect to the internet with other devices?
  • Are there any devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the device you want to pair?
  • Did you perform a factory reset to the device?
  • Did you migrate your Nest account to Google?
