Gen 2 Wired Doorbell “Snapshots are unavailable”

First, let me be clear that I am sure this is 100% self-inflicted.  That said, suggestions on how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

I have a wired 2nd gen doorbell that was working just fine, and mostly still is.  It is still recording, including events in the history timeline.  What it is not doing is allowing viewing of the live stream, instead showing a dark screen with the message: Snapshots are unavailable. Your camera is not responding to snapshot requests. Try restarting your camera.

I caused this while attempting to bring my household of devices together within a hub environment.  I am pretty sure it was specific to my installation of Home Assistant. Any thoughts on which specific settings/configurations I messed up and should correct?

@hirsch22

We have Nest Hellos and not the 2nd Gen Google Nest Doorbells, but did you try restarting the doorbell by briefly turning off the circuit to the doorbell?

I resolved the issue by deauthorizing Home Assistant as a Hub in Apple Home.  For whatever reason, that was the barrier.  I believe it was related to my failure to integrate my Nest devices into the Home Assistant platform (literally every other device/manufacturer integrated effortlessly).  So for now, Nest will play by itself in the corner, friendless, but at least I can view the live feed again.

Hi folks,

hirsch22, awesome! Thanks for sharing the steps that fix viewing your doorbell live feed — it's a big help. As we got our resolution here, I'm going to mark this thread as complete. I'll be locking this thread if we won't hear back from you again in 24 hours. Should that happen, feel free to create a new one if you have more questions or have other concerns in the future.

Thanks for the help, MplsCustomer.

Thanks,

JT
