Gen2 wired doorbell not sending notifications

Hello,

I have installed the doorbell which was to replace the battery powered version. Its setup fine, I can see live video no problems, setup my zones and notifications as I want them (basically mirrors how I had the battery one).

But here’s the problem, press the button on the doorbell, no notifications to any devices and no alert on nest displays (visitor announcements switched on).

Stand in front of the camera and it doesn’t highlight the event in the history. 

I have uninstalled it, re-installed it, factory reset it, and still nothing.

i don’t know what I am missing or why it wouldn’t work.

To better understand the situation, please answer the following questions:

 

  • Have you received any push or email notifications?
  • Have you checked your spam folder to see if the notifications are being sent there?
  • Have you tried using another mobile device to see if the issue persists?
  • Is this issue happening consistently or intermittently?
