On my Nest Cam IQ Indoors, the option Google Assistant On/Off is not available. Does anyone know how to make it visible? It is second from the top between Camera On/Off and Home/Away Assist. Thank you!

Hi George7, I don't have the indoor camera but I do have the IQ Outdoor camera. What is it you are actually trying to do. When I go into my NEST app on my iPhone and go to the main page where I can see al my devices and hit the GEAR in the upper right corner, I see in the list of options something called HOME/AWAY ASSIST. Is that what you are looking for?

Thank you for the quick reply. Nest cam IQ indoors can be used with Google Assistant (Nest cam IQ outdoors doesn’t have that feature available). My question is why I’m not able to see the option Google Assistant for my nest cam IQ indoors. Has it been removed? All the support sites and Google Home support say it should work but check with Google Nest support. Google Nest support refers me back to Google Home support…

Hi George, Hmmmm, I didn't know about that. I'm not sure why it is missing.
Another question: What function does it bring you? I have a few Google Hubs and I can say "Hey Google display my driveway" and I see the camera on the hub. Is what you are talking about something different?

The camera has then the same behavior like a mini. You can ask questions, make announcements, etc.

Hmmm, one other thought I have is to check and see if you are on the newest version of the NEST app on your phone. Go to the App store and search for the NEST app. If it has on OPEN next to it then there are no updates. If it has the word "UPDATE" shown there then do the update.

Hi Steve,
I took the nest hub and nest cam IQ indoors from Switzerland to the US. I still use the Swiss address since I would like to take the hub and the cam back to Switzerland. It is working now in the US. Do you know whether it will also work in Switzerland?

Thanks for the reply. If your Nest Cam and IQ Indoor and Nest Hub were bought in Switzerland, the features that you have will definitely work there. This is true, if the features your trying to use is available in your country.
Nest cameras are optimized to work best with specific Wi-Fi standards depending on where they were sold. This means that your Nest camera may experience decreased performance if you move it to a different country, and it may not comply with regulations there.
