Performed a an update on my perfectly functioning Google Home app. After the update I lost access to all my Google products. I managed to reconnect my Google Chrome speakers , but I lost access to my thermostat and my cams. Before the update my cameras and my thermostat showed up in Google Home. After the update I cannot find either product. Do I have to go a hard reset?

Hey there,
Sorry for the late response, but I wanted to drop in here to help.
I understand that these issues can be confusing but I definitely wanted to stop by and see how I could help.
Just wanted to double check to see if you were still needing help on this? If so, what troubleshooting steps have you tried?
I look forward to hearing from you.

First of all - I am not confused as to what happened. Your company's software interface is confused, not me.
To refresh what is going on: I did an update on my iPhone Google Home app. It wiped out access to my multiple cameras, my thermostat, my Google Chromecast. I managed to re-establish the multiple speakers back, but there seems to be no tab or access to Cameras or my Thermostat on Google Home as there was before. I have Nest Aware subscription. The solution steps I found indicated I basically need to find the bar codes and reinstall EVERYTHING. Google Home went from functioning to barely legible after the update. I cannot access my cameras and I'm paying for something I cannot use.

Hey there,
Sorry to hear that you're still having this issue. Just a clarifying question, you only did an update to the Home app? It had nothing to do with trying to migrated from Nest to Google Home, correct?
It's definitely a strange situation but you'll want to manually add them all back if they aren't showing up. You can also try Factory Resetting the devices and try connecting them the normal way first if you haven't tried that already. I would suggest trying that first.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Best regards,
Garrett DS

Yes, I did see it. It's too bad Google felt the need to meddle with what perfectly worked before. Reading the comments, I see I'm not the only one.
When you were a kid, did you really want to work for an intangible org such as Google? I'm a San Francisco Fire lieutenant; just so you know, they are hiring.
I'll figure this out on my own. But thanks for trying. Good luck.
