Google Nest Cam (Wired) - Snow -- How do I scrub through the video feed quickly?

I purchased a pair of "Google - Nest Cam (Wired) - Snow" cameras. I installed one of them yesterday and connected it to Google Home since the instructions say this camera is not compatible with the Nest App. The first thing I noticed is I cannot scrub through my video back and forth. I can scroll back to a point in time, but the video doesn't load until I lift my finger. I want to scroll back through my recorded video (the video I pay to be recorded continuously) so that I can see "What made that noise" or "Did any raccoons get up on my deck last night?". I can't rely on the events since I've already run some basic "motion detection" tests and the events were NOT picked up.

 

I understand this question has been asked a lot in the past, but the threads I found were closed and/or I could not reply for some reason.

Nest was a great product with a great app and Google has messed it all up. Why?!

If my ONLY solution is to return these to Best Buy and buy a used cam that works with the old Nest App, that's what I will do, but seriously Google, is this an example of your best efforts? 

Can you tell us all if this is a feature that is planned for an upcoming update? If you can't answer that question, then the answer is simple "No". I work for a software company and we know what features are upcoming and we have an approximate idea of when those features will be delivered. The fact that you can't, or won't, tell us means that you're ignoring your customers and you're stringing us along with fairytales of future promises.

I would appreciate a response before my return period expires.

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To make sure that we’re on the same page, I’d like to confirm, which Nest Aware subscription do you have? Is this happening to all of your Nest Cameras? Have you tried checking the full history or setting a schedule from the calendar icon at the top under history? Looking forward to your response.
