I have reset it multiple times and it does not even beep as the instructions say it should when holding down the reset button for 12 seconds.

Sometimes it's hard to actually get the reset pin depressed; after all, you're depressing it with just a paperclip. I've seen many posts in this forum from customers who finally get their camera to reset after many failed attempts.
If you can't get it to reset, you could try contacting Support:
1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.

Which camera do you actually have? Your post lists the Nest app, but the 1st gen Google Nest Indoor Camera can only be reset by removing it from the Google Nest app. If you have a 2nd gen Google Nest Indoor Camera, the reset hole is on the bottom of the camera head, between the power cord and the camera neck.

It is a second gen indoor wired camera from Google. I did find the reset hole like you describe. It never reset. The camera is not even a year old and was sent to me as a replacement for an older model that was going out of support.

I am certain by the feel of the pressure that it is clicking. It is just not resetting. I should also note I have been in technology for 30 years, so I have a pretty good idea of how to use a paper clip to reset a device. I'll try contacting google support today and hopefully I get a person and not a BOT.
