Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) Chime on Sonos or alternative

Hi there, I have a Nest camera ecosystem and decided to add a doorbell. It’s the battery one as we rent and don’t want to start drilling holes. We also have a Sonos ecosystem in the house and I was led to believe that these would work nicely together and I could get a chime on my speakers. Sadly this doesn’t seem to be the case and the only way I know if someone has pushed the doorbell is on a notification on my phone. This is great when I’m 100 miles away but when I’m in the house it’s just dumb and requires me to now have my phone with me everywhere.
I can’t seem to find a chime that will work wirelessly with this doorbell, the Sonos will not work and I really don’t want to buy a bunch of Google Mini’s just to use as a door chime. If that is the only option I’ll likely ditch this ecosystem because I’m getting very tired of the issues with it.

Hello RajD1,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To know more about this issue, I’d like to confirm, is your Do not Disturb turn on? Is your visitor announcements enabled on the Google Home app? Have you tried using your Sonos app to connect your Nest Doorbell to your Sonos speaker? Looking forward to your response.

Best,

Emerson

Hi RajD1,

Thanks for getting back to us. We would recommend you to check the technical specification of your Sonos speaker if it's compatible with the Nest Doorbell. Also, try reaching out with the Sonos technical support and ask for assistance on how you can connect your Nest Doorbell battery to your Sonos speaker. Let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Emerson
