Hi, I have the Nest Doorbell (Battery version) and when someone rings the door it plays the chime on my Nest Hub and speakers, 2 issues I have.
Does anyone experience the same ? Or know how to resolve the issues?
Thanks in advance
Keith

The first issue might be related to the cooldown period on your doorbell. A couple of months ago a Google Nest Community Specialist posted a chart in this forum showing the cooldown periods for all Google Nest cameras and doorbells, but that post has since been deleted. Other users have also reported that notifications are not sent for repeated rings of Google Nest doorbells.
"Visitor notifications" are not in sync on our Nest Hubs either, and other customers have commented about that in this forum.

This is crazy ! so if someone rings the doorbell twice the second ring will be ignored ..... I thought Google was better than this ! im in shock at how bad this is .... and the ringing on multiple devices being out of sync ..... how did this pass any internal testing at Google !

The defect or limitation here is that, due to the 1-5 minute cooldown period on Google Nest Doorbells, if someone presses the doorbell button a second time within 1-5 minutes, no "Visitor announcement" is sent for the second press of the doorbell.
Back in Sept. 2022, a Google Nest Community Specialist posted the following cooldown times chart on this thread; the post was deleted a few weeks later:

Is there any active development work being done on the nest doorbell software?

Hello there,
Thanks for the information MplsCustomer. We've tried to replicate this on our end. We tried to press the doorbell one time and we were able to hear the visitor announcement from our Google Home mini and Nest Hub Max. After a couple of seconds we tried it again and it work still. We also tried with a minute interval for the first and second press and it still works. During this test, we noticed that there was a 10 seconds delay before you received the notification.
Best,
Emerson
