Hi guys,
I have a google nest doorbell (battery), outdoor camera (battery) and google hub. I’ve had them for 6 months, all working fine. Suddenly a couple of days ago both the doorbell and outdoor camera said they were offline. Nothing had changed on my wifi, router or cameras, it just happened out of nowhere. I couldn’t get them back up and running so I did some research and tried pretty much every single troubleshoot solution I could find. The current issue is I scan my doorbell QR code and it connects and takes me to the wifi list but cannot find my home wifi. Although it finds all other available wifis. (have tested many times and confirmed my wifi is working fine). The camera just times out and doesn’t even bring me to the wifi page, cannot seem connect. My troubleshooting solutions I have tried are;
- Resetting my router/modem multiple times
- Hard/factory reset on both camera and doorbell and hub multiple times
- Updating my app
- Deleting google home app and reinstalling
- Turning modem settings to 2.4ghz wifi only
- Disabling -—
- Changing wifi channel
- Checking SSID/Wifi name isn’t hidden
- Creating google home from scratch in app
- Tried connecting cameras with new google account and on different phone
- Connected my doorbell to phone hotspot to test wifi and that connected and worked completely fine.
No matter what, I just can’t seem to find my wifi on the list. I would greatly appreciate if someone knows a solution, or if there is some kind of setting I need to enable/disable in my router and modem. Thank you so much for any help!
Shan

Have you charged the batteries on your battery doorbell and battery camera? If the battery doorbell is wired and the battery camera is plugged in, what are their battery levels?

Hi, thanks for your reply! Yes both are fully charged.

Hi everyone,
@Shan2, thanks for reaching out here in the Community and for sharing the steps you've done so far. Have you tried creating a new home structure and trying adding your Nest Camera? Have you checked if there's any settings that restricts your Nest Camera to connect to your Wifi network? Your Nest Cameras can connect using a mobile hotspot. If possible, you can try connecting it with a different Wifi network. Let us know how it goes.
I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.
Best,
Emerson
