Google Nest battery cam won't reset. Shows offline/unavailable.

My Google Nest camera has stopped working. I have tried using the reset button. It doesn't chime. The green light just comes back on, but then turns off. The camera shows as unavailable or offline on the app.

Are you using the "factory reset" instructions, and NOT the "restart" instructions, which are both in the same Help topic? Sometimes customers don't press the reset pin long enough.

Thanks for answering.  Yes.  I have pressed the reset button for 10+ seconds.  The camera green light comes on, but then turns itself off.   Attaching the charging cable does nothing.

My only other suggestion is to make certain you're depressing the reset pin with something like an unbent paperclip.

You could try contacting Support:

1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.
