I bought 2 Google nest outdoor cameras. I have Starlink for wifi. When I try to install the cameras, at the end of the configuration they go offline but they were online during the configuration. The cameras are activated but the green light on the cameras is off, only the White light is shown and it basically tells me to install the cameras to activate them… can anybody help me with this?

This issue is likely related to your Starlink Wi-Fi connection. Since the cameras are activated but the green light is off, showing only the white light, it might indicate that the cameras are having trouble maintaining a stable connection to your Wi-Fi network. First, try restarting your Starlink router and the cameras to see if that helps establish a better connection. You can do this by unplugging the router for about 2 minutes and then rebooting the cameras by holding down the reset button for 10-15 seconds until they restart. Next, ensure your cameras are connected to the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band (rather than the 5 GHz band), as Google Nest cameras often perform better on the 2.4 GHz frequency. If Starlink combines the two bands, try splitting them in your router settings so your cameras connect directly to the 2.4 GHz network. Also, check your Wi-Fi signal strength at the location where you’ve installed the cameras to make sure the signal is strong enough to maintain a stable connection. If the cameras still show the white light and aren’t fully connecting, try resetting them to factory settings by holding the reset button for 20-30 seconds and starting the setup process again. Hopefully, these steps help you get everything working properly!

Hello, thanks for your reply. We found the reason why the camera was not working. In order to complete the configuration, the camera needs to stay on the magnetic plate. After our first testings, we decided to put up the plates on the wall outside and do the configuration again inside at our new home up north. Mistake. Now everything works perfectly! Thank you again and thank you @mavmit !
