Google Nest not staying in Mount

ABuckeye
Community Member

Hello,

My nest doorbell will not stay in the mount. It appears to be due to the button at the top not engaging with the mount. There are numerous posts on here indicating the same issue. However, since I am just outside warranty (had device for about 18 months) I was not given a resolution by support.

Has anyone managed to find alternate fixes or ways to contact the manufacturer?

@ABuckeye

A few customers in this forum have tried just a little WD-40 on the latching mechanism to get it to work.

Thanks for the suggestion!
Are they applying the WD-40 through the slot where the “key” is inserted to take the doorbell off the mount? Or elsewhere?

@ABuckeye

I don't know exactly where they applied the WD-40.  We have the older Nest Hello Doorbells and haven't had to remove them in years.
