Google camera will not charge

Hello, have had this  OutdoorGoogle camera for a year or so. It all of a sudden will not charge, no light comes on while charging. I have tried a reset and have made sure the charging cable is inserted properly. Please help. Thank you

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this. No worries, we'll check this out. Were there changes made with the setup, settings, and/or app of the Nest camera? Are you using the USB cable and adapter that shipped with the camera? Also, are there any kinks or frays in the cable?

Thank you for the reply. No changes to any equipment, I am using the provided cord, no kinks or issues with the cord. Just stopped working all of a sudden. Thank you, Monty

Thanks for giving us an update and we appreciate your efforts. Let's sort this out. Is your camera cable securely connected to the power adapter? Have you tried plugging it into another power outlet? Do you have an extra power cord to try on? Also, do you have a Nest Outdoor Camera (wired) or the Nest Camera (battery)?

 

Going over the steps here might help: 

 

  • Push and twist the USB connector into place. Then, plug the adapter into a power outlet.
  • Unplug the power adapter from the power outlet and from the locking USB cable that connects to the camera. 
  • Move the camera and plug it into a different working power outlet.
  • Check if the issue is with the power cable, inspect for damages on the cable. 
  • Remove or reinsert the USB cable from the Nest power adapter. 
  • Watch the LED light for any changes. If the LED light blinks, or the camera power cycles.
  • Wait for five seconds, then plug it back in.
