Google cameras

Have external cameras, left on continually; have indoor cameras which are switched on when we go out. We don't want them on, recording us when we're home!

Turning each one off and on is a pain. How can I set up to turn the indoor cameras on or off as a group? There is an option to turn all cameras on or off, but we want to leave the external cameras always on.

Thanks for posting in the community. I know turning on and off your cameras manually is time-consuming. I understand you're looking for a way to disable your Nest Cam Indoor devices while you're home, without affecting your Nest Cam Outdoor devices. Help is here!

To better assist you with accurate information, I’d like to ask a few questions:

• What specific model of Nest indoor cameras do you have?
• Are you using the Google Home app or the Nest app?

In the meantime, I recommend setting up Home/Away. This feature will allow your Nest Cam Indoor devices to automatically turn off when you arrive home and turn back on when you leave. Please refer to the following:

• For information about other Google Home app Routines, go to Create and manage Routines in the Google Home app.
• For information about presence sensing automation with devices that you manage in the Nest app, go to Change Home/Away Assist settings.
