Google doorbell email notifications

Why are the notification options on iPhone so limited? We can’t change the sound, can’t change the volume, can’t change the notification type, can’t make any automations or shortcuts regarding notifications, … Is this all in the spirit of pushing customers to buy a nest home station? Honestly, there’s been many times we had people in front of our door because the push notification is just so silent, really disappointed in the limited nature of the notification features, which I would think are the core of a installing a doorbell?

So  you can actually change the sound to something different.  But it isn't very intuitive.

On your iPhone go into SETTINGS and select SOUNDS & HAPTICS.  Scroll all the way to the bottom where you see DEFAULT ALERTS.   Any App on the iPhone (including Google Home app) that wants to issue an alert tone uses this setting.    I have mine set to TRI-TONE as it is one of the loudest sounds available.

Hope this helps

Hi, thanks so much for taking the time to reply. This should actually help me out tremendously. Still very limited way to manage the notification but this will definitely reduce the times where people actually have to call me to get in when I missed the doorbell sound.
