Google nest Doorbell wired 2nd gen offline

I have 2 wired 2nd gen doorbells and 2 Google Nest battery outdoor cams which i have them both wired. It seems like every 1 or 2 weeks , one of the doorbells goes offline. I have a very strong wifi connection outside so i know it's not my wifi. I think it's the doorbell itself. It can't seem to hold on to the connection. I can't keep restarting the dam thing, I reset it 3 times and lost my videos. I think i need a replacement.

We're sticking with our older Google Nest Hello Doorbells for now. They are always "Live" and online.

If you want to seek a replacement for your problematic doorbell, you'll need to start with the "Contact us" link below (skipping past the "Resources" page to get to the contact options), unless a Google Nest Community Specialist posts a reply here with a "form" to fill out to determine whether an replacement is possible. They'll probably ask you to do a factory reset, but you've done that three times.

Hey there,

If you're seeking a replacement, please fill out this form, and a higher tier of support will reach out to you with next steps.

As a side note; we unfortunately do not offer replacements for parts. If your device is no longer under warranty, we aren't able to offer a replacement.

Best regards,
Brad

Hi there,

Let me know if you need anything from me, but I am just seeing if you've filled out the form I sent. We'll leave this thread open for a little longer for follow-up questions and concerns.

Best regards,

I did another reset and so far so good. Why the hell do you need to reset a doorbell to get it working again? Makes not sense.

It has it's purposes to make sure the device is running as it should. But I can understand and see that it can be an inconvenience to some users. I am relieved to hear it's working again. As this seems to be resolved, we'll leave this thread open for another 24 hours for any follow-ups or questions.

Best regards,

Brad
