Google nest doorbell (battery) not sending notifications

I have a nest aware subscription and suddenly stopped receiving notifications when I previously was. Notifications are all turned on in the google home app. I now only receive notifications when door bell is pressed, not getting anything else. Can anyone please help!

I am joining this thread looking for the answer too. I am trying to add doorbell battery to Nest but it isnt an option. The notifications for events is greyed in Home. So the doorbell is pretty useless for security purposes

Hi folks,

Thanks for reaching out. Let's see what’s going on — are the notifications for the seen events turned on in your Google Home app?

Give these steps a try:

  1. Open the Google Home app and click your camera thumbnail.
  2. Go to Settings > Events > Seen events.
  3. Turn on "Your notifications" option for People, Animals, Vehicles, or Motion.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

JT

Hey everyone,

@QueenPhia, I’m sorry for the trouble this has caused you. Let me help you out. Just a few questions: What option do you see after you select Seen Events"? Have you tried this on a different phone? Did you check the app permissions to see if notification is allowed in your phone's settings?

I look forward to your response.

Thanks,
Edmond

Hey, so I had a setting off called record video history. I set it to 3 hours. I don't recall ever touching it. Notifications are now activated. Thank you for your time and help. Case solved!
