I had to choose the above labels, but I’m not having a “cosmetic issue.” My issue is that now two of my four outdoor cameras started to show fogging and before I could get them down they are now unresponsive. I’m guessing this is from a failed seal and it’s very disappointing. My older cameras haven’t failed, just the newer ones around the timing of the Google takeover of Nest. I loved my cameras but if this is the issue they’re going to have, I’ll gladly switch to a line of products that don’t have this issue (I’ve seen many others having this problem too). My question here is - is there any fix or because they’re unresponsive are they dead? I’m beyond warranty and I don’t think they would be replaced out of a goodwill gesture by Nest/Google nor do I want to spend another $200 per camera if this is going to happen in the future. I made sure to not have them in the direct sun, nor be impacted by anything, yet they still failed. Any suggestions are welcome. My parents have Ring and Wyze cameras and haven’t had this issue, despite those camera being way less expensive.

Unfortunately, Google Nest's cameras are all sealed and not designed to be serviced.
If you purchased your Google Nest Outdoor Cameras around the time of Google's takeover of Nest (2014), then your cameras are older than ours. We haven't had any problems with fogging yet, but our cameras are either under an overhang or under a camera shield. I don't think Google Nest's cameras are impervious to water if they are directly exposed to rain and snow.
