Hacks for shorter outdoor charging cable?

Hi there, has anybody figured out a way to achieve a shorter outdoor charging cable with the outdoor cam? I have 4 cameras nearly next to outlets and 24 feet of extra wire spooled up next to each one. It’s very unsightly. 

Some ideas I’ve considered: 

• Could the shorter indoor cable work outside? 
  
  
• Could I splice and reconnect the outdoor wire somehow? 

Has anybody figured anything out? It’s insane to me that google only sells this one, ridiculously long cord.

I have to agree. Those long cables are such a waste and impossible to make them look tidy.  And they are just power cables.  There is no reason they could not have made them 3 feet (or something like that) and then sell us extensions for those locations that need longer.   Another Google "Miss" in my opinion.
