Home app unmutes phone

I leave my phone muted. When I open a notification when a package is delivered, the Google Home app unmutes my phone and plays back the recording at FULL VOLUME. This is extremely inconvenient, embarrassing, and makes this app and camera unusable in certain situations.

Stop it. Do not touch my volume settings ever.

I've seen posts in this forum for years about this issue. You could try leaving "feedback" for Google Nest, but so far they've chosen not to do anything about it.
