Home assist stopped working

Thanks for your message. Oh no! That is not great to hear that your Home/Away assist is not working. I understand your concern and would be more than happy to help find a solution. First, I have some quick questions to get a better understanding of this issue.

  • Which Google device is this post in regard to? (model name, generation number)
  • How is your Home/Away assist not working? Could you please give me more details?
  • Are you seeing any error messages? If so, what do they say?
  • Have you tried turning off/on Home/Away assist?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you tried?

Home away assist is not working after the latest iOS update. Turned it off and on and still not working.

Having a similar issue. My nest is recording me while home. Setting is to turn off camera when I’m home. Cell service is allowed for nest with location on. How can I get this to work. Not sure if model maybe iq cam

Seems to be working again after an update to iOS 15.  I turned all the settings for Home / Away assist off and back on again and now its working.

Hello Brad, I have similar issue which I’ve not been able to solve it. I have Nest thermostat and Nest Doorbell. I have enabled home/away routine for thermostat. The problem that I’m facing is, if I turn on the setting in Nest app it will not be recognized by Google home app. If I set it in Google Home app then it breaks the settings on Nest app. Doing this back and forth it doesn’t handle the home away routine properly. 

can you help me with this?
