Home.google.com falsely reports all cameras as "idle" in Firefox browser on Mac

When visiting the beta "Public Preview" home.google.com website using the Firefox browser on a Mac with macOS Sonoma 14.5, all of our 1st gen and 2nd gen cameras and doorbells are now falsely reported as "Camera idle", but clicking "Live video" for each brings up the camera. This has been happening for about a week now.

This does NOT happen with the home.nest.com website.

It also does not happen with Chrome or Safari browsers.

Hi MplsCustomer,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, it's been flagged to the team. Because home.google.com still works correctly with other browsers, this is likely something within Firefox that is causing interference. Have you recently made changes to the browser settings? And could you try disabling Efficiency Mode in Firefox?

In the meantime, as a workaround, please use Chrome or another browser to view your cameras on home.google.com

Submitting a feedback report through home.google.com while using Firefox will also help the team look into this.

Thank you,
Nery.

I have not made any changes to Firefox settings.

"Efficiency Mode" seems to be a setting related to Windows 11. When running Firefox on a Mac, there is no such setting.

I've submitted a feedback report from home.google.com,.
