I have 5 Nest Cameras, 2 Nest Hello Doorbells, and 2 Nest Hub Max (which cameras are on when no one is home.  I have no issues with bandwidth, but did notice quicker response in app when jumping my internet package from 300Mbps download/150Mbps upload to 1Gbps download/500Mbps upload.

Upload speed is the factor to watch for here.  Another internet provider here offers 1.5Gbps download but only 100Mbps upload which might be fine for just the cameras alone, but I have 98 devices connected to my Wi-Fi so doesn't cut it.  Having a mesh system will also help, mine is running off ethernet backhaul for less issues as well.

Just my thoughts on your situation.

Cheers

Hey everyone,

Thanks for visiting the Nest Community.

@RyKnowsTech, Google Nest cameras and doorbells upload video to the cloud, which requires a portion of your internet bandwidth. Make sure that your internet service plan has enough upload bandwidth to support the number of cameras you have. Check with your internet service provider to learn about your plan's upload and download speeds and whether they meet the requirements here: Internet bandwidth and speed requirements for Nest cameras.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I appreciate your help, JS740.

Best,

Lance
