How can the doorbell only play the ring on the nest hub without the assistant announcement?

Hi,

I know this topic was asked some time ago. Does anyone know if there is now a solution to this problem?

Or is there perhaps a workaround to regulate the volume of the Google Assistant voice separately and turn it down? It's really terrible when, after a relatively quiet gong, the loud voice echoes through the house over all the Google Nest Minis.

Thank you for your support.

@Andreas75

Unfortunately, while customers in this forum keep asking, Google Nest still sends a "ding-dong" chime sound AND an oral announcement for "Visitor announcements" on Nest Hubs when the doorbell button is pushed.

And Google Nest does NOT provide a volume setting for "Visitor announcements". The volume is whatever the Nest Hub's current volume. Many customers I this forum have complained they do NOT here "Visitor announcements" when they have their volume turned down on their Nest Hub(s).

Hello everyone,

@Andreas75, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. We appreciate your interest however, we don't have any news to share about applying this feature to the Nest app or Google Home app. We're always looking for ways to improve and we'll take it as feedback. I'd suggest you send yours with our Send Feedback form to let the Google Engineering team know about your concern.

I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.

Regards,
