How to turn on Nest Doorbell (battery) without mounting it

This is somewhat related to  this thread. If you want to turn on your doorbell without mounting it, put a small magnet on top of the charging port, right above the two screws in the back. I don't know why google did not put a button there to turn it on.

@Imon

There seem to be multiple problems with the mounting bracket for the Google Nest Doorbell (Battery).

What puzzles me is why Google Nest even wants to keep track of whether the battery doorbell (or our battery camera) is "mounted". Our battery camera is plugged in all the time with the optional power cable, but Google Nest's instructions say "If you didn’t install your camera with a power cable, you’ll need to remove it periodically to charge the battery" (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9252289?hl=en#zippy=%2Cnest-cam-battery). Why does it have to be removed to charge it?

I won't be surprised. I had a horrible experience when I changed my home internet wifi network.

Why does it have to be removed to charge it?
I'm guessing it's related to privacy, but if so, they could have been more explicit.
