I've opened up my Nest Doorbell but wanted to test the battery before I spend the $ to replace that. What is a surefire way of doing that. It was disconnecting whenever the doorbell was rung.

Hi there,
I can imagine this has been an inconvenience, and I would love to look into this further for you. I do however need some additional information to best assist you. There is no way for you to test the internal battery for the Nest Doorbell (wired), formerly known as Nest Hello. It is a wired setup, so as long as it is set up, the power provided charges the internal battery.
Best regards,
Brad

My email is # Google Home would loose connection when the doorbell was rung. What additional info do you need Brad?

I just wanted to check in to see if you had seen my last response. Just as a reminder, there is no way to replace the internal battery in the Nest Doorbell (wired). If it has failed, then the whole device has failed, most likely. Would you please explain more about what symptoms you're seeing?
Best regards,
Brad

Yes, when the doorbell was rung the unit would go off line. From this forum, I heard that this was an issue with the battery failing.

What is the form for if the unit is out of warranty?

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to create a new thread as I will be locking this thread after 24 hours.
