I currently have a nest doorbell (battery) and i saw the Ring company implementation of displaying a screen on your phone with the answer or decline options and live footage as if it's a facetime call. I think this is way more practical than traditional notifications that blend with the rest of the rubbish notifications. I live abroad and when people ring i want to inform them that I'm not home and to leave the packages where i describe and to tell the family members and friends that knock that i'am not back yet. So for me and a lot of people for sure the bell ringing is an emergency and everything should be moved aside until this event it's over so is there a way to display it as a call or this feature isn't available at all ?

Hello, Unfortunately there is no way to do that with the Nest Doorbell cameras.

Just installed a wired doorbell. It announces on the nest inside that someone’s at the door (with a good 5 second delay) but on your phone it just puts a banner up and no sound notification. Useless if you aren’t at home or you are sleeping, engaged in anything else and someone comes to the door. I feel like this cannot be right. Am I missing something.? Why would google create a doorbell to connect to devices that doesn’t notify you on a phone with any sound.

Try this: If you are on an iPhone go to SETTINGS and then NOTIFICATIONS. Scroll all the way down to GOOGLE HOME and and make sure SOUNDS are turned ON.
