Is there any way to view my Nest Camera (Battery) on my computer's web browser? I am able to view my older Nest Outdoor IQ cameras on my computer web browser using the Nest app but the new Nest Camera (Battery) does not work with the Nest app.

I hope google answers your question. I have the same issue and concern. If I cant find an answer soon I'm returning the two extra nest battery cameras I bought. Extremely frustrating...

Yeah, this is no-brainer functionality. AND any browser (not just Chrome).
Plus -
Seems at this point I'm counting one step forward (battery paradigm), aaaand one-two-three-four-five steps back for Google innovation.

According to a review of the Nest Camera (battery), the web viewing access and manual clipping features are planned for the future but Google does not have a timeline for the release of these features. See https://9to5google.com/2021/08/24/nest-cam-battery-2021-initial-review/ I also saw somewhere else that Google is sunsetting all older Nest cameras, for example, the Nest Outside IQ.

Google should not be calling this new Google Nest Camera Battery a "Nest" camera. This new "Nest" camera (which we purchased 5 days ago) cannot be accessed from the "Nest" app or from the Home Nest website on our computer. Further, it is missing the Enhance zoom, manual clipping, and scheduling capabilities present in existing Nest cameras.

I'm worried that Google will stop supporting the older Nest cameras soon. I keep seeing "Google sunsetting all older Nest cameras" in reviews of the new Nest Camera (battery).

Hi there,
Sorry for my late response. Thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I just wanted to make sure that your issue is addressed. I am terribly sorry to hear that you have had such a hard time with this! I would love to look into this issue further and help find a solution for you. I have some questions I’d like to ask you first:
Do you still need help with this issue?
What troubleshooting steps have you done thus far?
Have you tried to restart your device?
Please let me know if you need further assistance.
Best Regards,
Brad.

Restarting "your device" (presumably the Nest Camera Battery) will NOT make it viewable from a computer's web browser. Google deliberately did not make the new camera accessible from a web browser, and has publicly acknowledged this. And there are no "troubleshooting steps" that can be performed to make it accessible.

Seriously, what kind of canned response is that? The issue can not be resolved with our restarting the device. It is a Google-side issue that needs to be resolved by replacing a feature that is now missing with a new product.

Hi jhw549, I'm seeing a significant pattern in all these replies and I'm 95% sure these are all BOTS answer these questions and not real people. Makes you wonder how much all of our comments are ultimately being ignored. SO FRUSTRATING. I ended up returning my new cameras.

Just bought 2 of these new Google Nest Battery cams on a smokin' deal. I have a business in my house, and wanted use one at my front door to monitor incoming clients so I can meet them at the door.
Having to view it only on a cell phone is a PITA. Google should have had the web browser support done before ever launching these cameras.
Now I am in a dilemma, do I return them and go with a different product, or keep them and wait for browser support that might, or might not arrive.
Some people have said get a Google Nest Hub Max, with the 10" screen, but at $300 here in Canada, it negates the savings I got on the cameras to begin with.
Tried using an android emulator to run Google home on my PC. While Google Home works, once you try and get into the camera, it craps out.
Now thinking of maybe trying to use a tablet as the screen.
If only they would give the IP address of the cameras, you could then use a third party program for monitoring on a PC.

Hi ElmCityHobbies, What a tragedy that the new cams are not viewable on the computer. And so many other limitations as well. I ended up returning mine because it appears that Googel has said no updates of any kind until at least 2022 and I'm not willing to wait.
I bought some ARLO cams which have a lot of plusses however one surprise I didn't like is this: While you can view them on your computer you can NOT view them on your phone and computer at the same time. If you try it forces you to log out of one of them.
SOOOOooo, my actual recommendation is to buy used (previous gen) Google Cameras from ebay (or where ever) that use the NEST app and can be viewed rather nicely on your computer.
Hope this helps

What a **bleep** show. I freaking hate the fact I now I cant view my cameras on my PC with the "New" battery camera. It would literally take Google a day to program an app for the PC and Mac. The only way I can view my google home on my pc is link my phone to my windows PC then launch the app from my PC. But the app is limited in size and audio only plays on my phone. Plus there is a lag. Returning this crap and buying an older Nest camera. This **bleep** should have been covered at launch. You know it wouldn't take much for google to take over completely from Nest if they just had an application to view your device on your PC and consolidate all your devices. Period. Why buy a company just to loose customers? Sounds like management is going down the tubes at Google. Wake up guys you are loosing customers left and right.
