My grandfather set up the nest hub with 1 indoors and 2 outdoor cameras his google/nest account..
HE HAS PASSED away and we have no idea how to access them, as they are "connected to another account"
His google account is set up to his old phone number so I cant get into it at all from a recovery standpoint.
i've tried to press the button on each camera but NOTHING HAPPENS. press it for 30+ seconds nothing happens.
press it for a minute NOTHING..
my grandmother is 90 years old and living alone, we would like to have access to these cameras so we know she is safe when we cant get ahold of her.
HELP NEEEDED???

Unfortunately, Google Nest does not make it easy to change ownership of Google Nest devices in cases like yours.
Basically, you need to perform a factory reset on each device before reinstalling them. But on the older 1st gen Google Nest indoor and outdoor cameras, there is no factory reset button, and the only way to perform a factory reset is for the original owner to remove it from the Google Nest app while still on their original Wi-Fi network.
These are the factory reset instructions for cameras and doorbells:

And for Nest Hubs:

Based on reports in this forum, factory resets don't always work. If a factory reset does not work or cannot be performed on a 1st gen camera, Google Nest says you may have to wait up to 60 days for the previous owner's video history in Nest Aware expires:

You could try contacting Support to see if they have a better answer:
1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.
