Messages from doorbell and camera are delayed

Rumeroor
Community Member

The messages from the Google doorbell and camera's are delayed sometimes up to 1 hour.

Example: when someone presses the wired doorbell, the wired doorbell rings, but the messages on our phones/tables are delayed. This can be up to one hour.

Also when the camera detects someone the message comes in late.

The Wifi strength is good for both the camera and doorbell. We have reset the devices and router. The system is now in place for 2 years. At start there were few minutes delays, but have gone worse since then. After purchase spend many hours with the helpdesk but no solution could be found. Even since the situation became worse. On the internet others also seem to have issues with delays, but no clear solution has been given but some claim the issue was solved for them.

Maybe Google has solves the Bug and someone can help us to solve.

Hey there,

Thanks for bringing up the concern you're having. I'd love to look into this for you. The first troubleshooting step that I'd recommend would be to restart your device. This process should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This might be helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally.

Best regards,
Brad
