After cold spell (-11 f) battery will no longer charge, unit is dead. Unit lost internet connection so i brought it indoors to warm up and charge. It will not turn on and will not charge. Tried restart and reset. Nothing works. warranty ended a month ago. Tried using the supplied wires to connecting directly to existing doorbell transformer (16v) and unit will not work. Can the battery be accessed to test/replace?

You’re probably gonna fill out a ticket, wait forever to be told your warranty expired.

Hopefully with all the similar issues noted by multiple customers, google nest recognizes a defective product and offers a fix or replacement.

Hello folks,
@jstarkfulda, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. The batteries in Nest Cam (battery) and Nest Doorbell (battery) have the following minimum temperature requirements:
At temperatures between -4°F (-20°C) and 32°F (0°C), the battery can still power your device, but it won’t charge. It may also drain more quickly than usual. At temperatures close to -4°F (-20°C), your battery may have less than half the life that it has in warm weather.
If the temperature is below 32°F (0°C) and the battery is low, bring it inside to a warm place, preferably at room temperature. The battery can start to charge slowly once its temperature rises past 32°F (0°C). It will charge faster when it warms up.

Thanks for answering, canosoup.

Emerson

They won’t, I’m actually here because they won’t replace my 2 year old camera. When Nest was running the show, they would replace a broken camera no matter what.
Anyways, WYZE has great cameras at ¼ the cost and ½ price for the subscription. WYZE has an outdoor camera that rotates 360 for 36 dolars! 😂 cancel your subscription!

Hi canosoup,
We're sorry to hear if you're not able to get your replacement. Could you share your case ID here so that we can take a closer look at what happened.
