NEST DOORBELL AND T-MOBILE GATEWAY INTERNET

I want to add a fix for this issue because I couldn't find it online and a lot of time was spent on finding it. Google chat support person ended up finding it for me.

Issue: setting up my Nest doorbell through the Home app, I kept running into "Something went wrong" right after putting in the WiFi password and 7ish minutes of the app trying to connect the doorbell to the WiFi. I would see the doorbell populate on the router's list of connected devices, but I could not get the Home app to succeed in inputing the password. I must have tried 50 time to set it up and tried all the tips and tricks I could find. As soon as I get support chat going, they have me trying the exact same things at least a dozen more times.

Solution: setup by connect the doorbell to a Hotspot in lieu of WiFi. I don't understand why it worked, but it did and it was quick. I had to factory reset the doorbell after the successful setup, then it setup with WiFi and it works fine. I did this on an android phone using wifi and Hotspot simultaneously.
