NEST DOORBELL CAMERA NEW WIFI PASSWORD

rajjheeta

Hi,

I recently changed my password for my wifi modem and followed the instruction online to delete the device, delete home and then reinstall.  This did not work.  So then I attempted factory reset and it still does not ask for my wifi or connect.  Please help

@rajjheeta

Was your factory reset successful? That is, did you get a blinking yellow light 4 times and a countdown tone after 10 seconds? Did you get a solid yellow light while the doorbell started the factory reset, along with a confirmation tone, after 12 seconds?

I had the same issue. It was a nightmare to add all my cameras and thermostats back to the system. My older nest cams were not as bad as the new ones. I had to factory reset my battery cams and let my 2nd gen camera sit for 48 hours to get it to reconnect. Very poor user interface. I had to take down installed cameras to make them work. I wish I know this before I bought them.

Hi everyone,

@rajjheeta, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. When reconnecting it back to your Wi-Fi network, it will require you to reset them to the factory default and make sure they have a pulsing blue light indicating that they're ready to connect. You may check the link that was shared above for the steps.

@Timsdown, we appreciate you posting here the steps that you've done to resolve your concern. We’ll take note of it and ensure that we'll learn from your experience as we continually improve our products and services. Rest assured that we'll take this as feedback and learn from this to deliver a better process and experience in the future.

I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.
