To better assist you, please answer the following questions:
- Were there any issues aligning the lock parts during setup?
- Is there a yellow light on the lock?
- When did you install the Nest x Yale Lock?
- When did the frequent locking and unlocking start?
To troubleshoot this issue, please try the following:
- Adjust the interior lock, back plate, and bolt assembly. Loosen or tighten them until the retraction feels smooth and the bolt no longer gets stuck. To access the lock's interior, remove the batteries from both sides and unscrew the lock.
- Inspect the alignment of all lock parts to identify any misalignments from the installation process.
- Check the alignment and installation of the strike plate. Ensure the hole where the deadbolt rests when the door is closed and locked has the correct depth.
- To rule out that the cause of the problem does not have to do with a problem in the software, I suggest you perform a factory reset and set up the Nest x Yale Lock.
